Come tradizione vuole, a 24 ore dagli Oscar la Golden Raspberry Award Foundation ha assegnato i Razzie Awards, i premi ai peggiori film dell’anno ed è stato un trionfo per Emoji – Accendi le emozioni.
Il film d’animazione Sony ha conquistato ben 4 Razzie: peggior film, peggior regista, peggiore sceneggiatura e peggior combo sullo schermo. Anche Cinquanta Sfumature di Nero non ha sfigurato, vincendo il premio del peggior remake o sequel e peggiore attrice non protagonista (Kim Basinger). Tom Cruise ha vinto il premio come peggior attore per la sua interpretazione nel primo capitolo del Monster Universe, La Mummia, mentre Tyler Perry ha vinto come peggiore attrice. Sorprendentemente, non ha vinto alcun premio Transformers: L’Ultimo Cavaliere, nonostante ben nove nomination. Infine, menzione anche per Baywatch, che ha vinto il premio nella nuova categoria “Il candidato al Razzie così stroncato che finisci per amarlo”.
